Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, particularly in acute care settings, and the ability to communicate effectively with both healthcare professionals and patients. The Pharmacist will be responsible for managing medication therapy, providing clinical support, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy. Provide patient counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy for patients. Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication regimens as necessary. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Educate patients and their families on health management and medication adherence. Stay updated on medical terminology, drug information, and best practices in pharmacy. Participate in hospital committees or quality improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements

Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective patient care and collaboration with healthcare teams. Experience or knowledge in pediatrics is a plus. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
