The Winnipeg St. Pharmacy, Namerind Housing Corporation, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join their healthcare team. Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist provides exceptional patient-centered care and service, ensuring all prescriptions are prepared and dispensed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. As an ambassador for the organization who consistently demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, the Pharmacist is a trusted advisor who collaborates with health care professionals and provides patients with expertise, information, and counsel to ensure their needs are met. This role provides professional services in accordance with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals standards.
Responsibilities
Prepares, dispenses, and controls all prescriptions and medications in an accurate, safe, and timely manner, using effective and efficient workflow processes and quality control measures.
Ensures the highest standard of patient care and service is provided.
Educates and counsels patients regarding the correct use of medications; ensures understanding.
Ensures confidentiality and privacy of information is maintained; tailors communication to the needs of patients.
Fosters and maintains positive working relations with health care professionals and patients.
Ensures pharmaceutical products are properly stored and handled and that safety-related protocols are followed at all times.
Maintains accurate and complete documentation and records.
Keeps current and updated with the latest medical terminology, pharmaceutical advancements, and best practices in pharmacy.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited institution.
Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Highly detail-oriented and accurate.
