Pharmacy - Prescription Shop

St. Joseph's Hospital - London, ON

Full Time

Salary Range: $57.10 - $67.14 /hour

St. Joseph's Health Care London's Pharmacy Department provides care across all St. Joseph's sites: St. Joseph's Hospital, Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, Parkwood Institute Main Building and Finch Family Mental Health Care Building, and Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health. The Pharmacy Department also provides care directly to members of our community through the two Prescription Shop pharmacies located at St. Joseph's Hospital and the Finch Family Mental Health Care Building at Parkwood. The Pharmacy Department welcomes learners year-round, including pharmacy technician students, pharmacist students, and a pharmacy resident.



Prescription Shop 1 is a community pharmacy providing service to patients visiting the ambulatory clinics at St. Joseph's Hospital, residents at Mount Hope Centre of Long-Term Care, hospital staff, and the general public. The variety of patient populations at Prescription Shop 1 creates a unique pharmacy practice environment, which is focused on exemplary patient care and rooted in strong teamwork. As a valued member of the Prescription Shop 1 team, you will be involved in direct patient care, working together with patients, prescribers, and other health care professionals to optimize patient outcomes by resolving drug therapy problems.




In addition to the essential qualifications listed below, experience in long-term care is an important asset.

Essential Qualifications

Part A licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists 2 years relevant and recent hospital or community pharmacy experience Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA Strong organizational skills Excellent oral, written and computer skills Ability to work independently and function as part of a team Display initiative Customer-focused approach Ability to resolve conflict Ability to offer and receive constructive feedback with team members Valid authorization to provide injections by the Ontario College of Pharmacists

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in French would be an asset Proficiency with Kroll and Point Click Care

Teaching and Research

St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties

Immunization Requirements

Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza. Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
