Overview


We are a

modern boutique pharmacy

delivering personalized care to our local community and

partner long-term care homes

. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in various settings, including hospitals and acute care environments.

Duties



Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy. Provide clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and other health professionals regarding medication selection, dosing, interactions, and side effects. Prepare and dispense medications, including compounding when necessary. Counsel patients/residents and caregivers on proper use of medications, storage, potential side effects, and interactions.. Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication therapy as needed. Monitor and manage inventory levels, expiry dates, and narcotic documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Skills



Current licensure in good standing with the

College of Pharmacists of British Columbia

. Authorization to administer injections. Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., Kroll, PointClickCare) is an asset.

Experience with prescription checking for long-term care homes and knowledge of eMAR systems will be considered a strong asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
