Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in COMMUNITY pharmacy, with experience in acute care and pediatrics. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy for patients. Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized medication plans based on patient needs. Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as necessary. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Educate healthcare staff on medical terminology and medication management practices. Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.

Skills

Strong knowledge of COMMUNITY pharmacy operations and procedures. Experience in acute care settings, with a focus on pediatrics preferred. Proficient in medical terminology relevant to pharmacotherapy. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care through thorough medication management practices.
