Job description

We are looking for a full-time pharmacist to join our team. The candidate must be eager to embrace the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists and strive to work to their full potential. We are searching for a patient and community focused pharmacist. They must participate in the maintenance and operations of the pharmacy as described by the Pharmacy Standards of Practice. Complete daily tasks such as but not limited to:

Working collaboratively with patients' physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes Conducting immunization clinics Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards Applying full scope of practice as a clinical pharmacist in Newfoundland and Labrador Patient counselling on selection and use of non-prescription medication Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications Maintaining medication profiles of customers, including a registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of all medications Work independently and within a team environment.

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
