Job Description
Pharmasave in Kelowna is actively looking for a positive and enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our great pharmacy team. We are looking for both part-time, full-time, and weekend pharmacists
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.
Pharmacist Responsibilities:
Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, vaccinations, Minor Ailments)
Initiate care plans, follow up and document
Administer vaccines
Determine appropriateness of drug therapy
Monitor medication adherence
Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
Communicate well with other healthcare professionals
Recommend OTC products and vitamins
Answer clinical questions from patients
Technical Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to critically think and problem solve
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-directed and able to work independently
Work well in a team environment
Education and Experience:
Licensed to practice and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
Kroll experience is an asset
Injection certification is a asset
OAT experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $65.00 per hour
