Your Opportunity:

Verifies all narcotic orders coming into and leaving Central Production to sites in the Calgary Zone. The Central Production pharmacist supports order verification and provides operational support for the manufacturing and distribution processes for the Calgary zone. The Central Production pharmacist provides support to the Central Production Pharmacy.

Description:

As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent experience within hospital pharmacy preferred (2-5 years). Experience with a multidisciplinary patient care team preferred. Experience with Windows-based computer applications and database. Previous project experience and committee work. Demonstrates computer literacy in drug information, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making ability. Displays tact, courtesy, discretion, and respects confidentiality. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, and able to demonstrate effective service attitude. Able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Experience with Epic as asset.
