Duties & Responsibilities Perform and document all dispensing activities, including clinical review, pre-check, sterile compounding verification, and final product check per standards. Review medical orders for therapeutic appropriateness and ensure accurate preparation of supplies, compounding instructions, pump programming, and labeling. Confirm accuracy of sterile and non-sterile compounded products, pump programming, and data entry prior to release. Ensure compliance with federal/provincial regulations, OCP standards, ISO requirements, and internal policies. Apply sterility, stability, and compatibility guidelines when assigning Beyond Use Dates. Perform accurate prescription entry, labeling, dispensing, and maintain all legally required documentation. Collaborate with healthcare providers and communicate clinical information to patients/caregivers regarding medications, equipment use, therapy changes, and adverse reactions. Maintain patient records, monitor refills, manage inventory, and follow established procedures for medication/supply procurement. Provide patient counselling for new prescriptions and support medication reconciliation. Work collaboratively with pharmacy, warehouse, nursing, and logistics teams; delegate tasks appropriately. Participate in quality improvement, professional development, meetings, training of new staff, and controlled substance tracking. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications BSc Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution. OCP Part A licensure in good standing; CPR certification required. Sterile compounding experience/certificate and Kroll familiarity are assets. Strong clinical knowledge, pharmaceutical calculations, problem-solving, and ability to interpret medical/technical information. Effective communication skills for patient counselling and care-team collaboration. Proficient with basic computer applications.
