We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care, particularly in pediatric and acute care settings. The Pharmacist will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care in a hospital environment.
Responsibilities
Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
Dispense medications accurately and provide information on their proper use.
Counsel patients on medication therapy, side effects, and interactions.
Monitor patient outcomes to ensure effective medication management.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
Educate healthcare staff on medication-related issues and best practices.
Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and regulations affecting pharmacy practice.
Qualifications
Ability to run independent Pharmacy
Pharmacy Dispensing and Counseling skills
Knowledge of prescription and over-the-counter medications
Administer vaccines. Minor aliments
Collaboration with healthcare professionals
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pharmacist license in the province of Ontario is must.
Experience in a retail pharmacy setting is a must
Kroll Knowledge is Preferred
