We are a small town pharmacy now accepting applications for a full-time, staff pharmacist to join the team.
The pharmacist will be responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate drug therapies and become integral part of the pharmacy team through working directly with other staff members and engage with customers.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:
Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, Follow-up consultations, etc)
Administer vaccines
Determine appropriateness of drug therapy and collaborate with other healthcare practitioners within the circle-of-care
Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
Recommend OTC products and vitamins
Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment
Other duties as required
Technical Skills:
Above average verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-directed and able to work independently
Ability to work well in a team environment
Education and Experience:
Licensed in good standing with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
Injection certification is required
Minor Ailment Prescribing is an asset
