We are currently seeking a reliable and self-motivated
Staff Pharmacist
to work at our independently owned pharmacies located in
the above mentioned towns
. This is a reasonably busy pharmacy and ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable managing daily operations independently and work as team. Normally 2 assistants at a time are working most of the day.
Responsibilities
Accurately dispense and verify prescription and non-prescription medications in compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and provincial/federal regulations.
Provide patient counseling on prescription and over-the-counter products, including proper use, side effects, interactions, and adherence support.
Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, therapeutic effectiveness, and potential drug-related problems.
Administer vaccines and other injections in accordance with OCP authorization.
Renew, adapt, or prescribe medications for eligible minor ailments as per Ontario regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of services provided.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Ensure safe storage, handling, and inventory control of all medications, including controlled substances.
Comply with all legal, ethical, and professional standards, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Use Fillware and
Kroll
software for prescription processing and patient record maintenance
Deliver exceptional customer service and build rapport with patients
Requirements
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the
Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Fillware and
Kroll
pharmacy software (required).
Comfortable working independently in a Community Setup.
Strong communication and time-management skills
Preferable if bilingual (English and French)
