Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on drug therapies, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent knowledge of medical terminology, and experience in hospital or acute care settings. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes through precise medication management.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and legal requirements Provide expert consultation to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety protocols Maintain detailed and accurate patient records related to medication history and administration Collaborate with medical staff to develop and review medication therapy plans, especially in pediatric or acute care settings Oversee medication inventory management, including ordering, storage, and disposal of pharmaceuticals Educate patients on proper medication usage, adherence, and potential adverse effects to promote optimal health outcomes Stay updated on new medications, medical advances, and changes in pharmacy regulations

Requirements

Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the Province of Ontario Management experience is preferred Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments while maintaining attention to detail Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry standards Ability to Speak Hindi or Punjabi is preferred but not required. Ability to use Kroll
Pay is commensurate with experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
