Position: Pharmacist - Prescribing pharmacist

Salary:

$140,000 - 160,000 year + extremely attractive offer

Hours:

30 - 60 hours/week (permanent, full time); part-time options also available

About the role

Red Road Indigenous Health Services is hiring a Pharmacist to provide accessible, patient-centered care within our outpatient clinic and community health programs. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, counsellors, psychologists, and other allied health professionals, with support from a senior prescribing pharmacist with over 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

Dispense medications, provide counselling, and complete medication reviews Prescribe for minor ailments in line with Alberta College of Pharmacy standards Adapt and renew prescriptions, and support medication reconciliation Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team for client care planning Educate clients, families, and staff on safe medication use and harm reduction Contribute to community outreach, drop-in clinics, and virtual care

Required Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy Willingness to pursue certification to prescribe for minor ailments and adapt prescriptions in Alberta Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Preferred Qualifications

Authorization to prescribe for minor ailments and adapt prescriptions in Alberta Experience in community or outpatient clinic settings

Schedule

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Weekly or weekend work negotiable
