Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess strong knowledge of medication administration, medical terminology, and acute care settings.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring optimal medication therapy outcomes. Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to tailor medication plans. Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of medications while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and medication management. Administer immunizations and provide education on medication use and safety. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for pain management and other medical conditions. Maintain compliance with ACP and Health Canada regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Stay current with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in pharmacy practice. Dispense prescription medications to patients and offer expertise in the safe use of prescriptions Provide consultation on over-the-counter medications and general health concerns Monitor patient health and progress to maximize medication efficacy and minimize side effects Maintain accurate patient records regarding medication dosages and interactions Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects Prescribing for small ailments

Requirements

- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Active pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hospital or clinical environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
