About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Clinical Pharmacy Manager and in close collaboration with the Clinical Lead for the Emerging and Re-emerging Infections Network (ERIN), the Clinical Research Coordinator Pharmacist works as a member of the interprofessional team and participates in the provision of safe, competent, person and family centered ethical care, ensuring the goals and needs of the person are prioritized and individualized. The Pharmacist works with Emerging and Re-emerging Infections research team members to coordinate research activities, prepare REB applications, and implement research protocols while consistently supporting research participants rights and well being. The Pharmacist participates in key research activities including administering questionnaires and conducting semi-structured interviews and focus groups, responds to study participant inquiries, maintaining, archiving, retrieving study data and documentation, compiles and summarizes quantitative and qualitative study data, and analyzes results. The Pharmacist also develops educational/promotional material for the research team, prepares reports for quality assurance and completes academic writing for research publication, facilitates knowledge translation and dissemination of research findings activities and conducts quality assurance initiatives. Last, the Pharmacist assists with knowledge translation and dissemination activities as part of the research protocol. The Clinical Research Coordinator Pharmacist also participates in interprofessional team education and continuous professional development activities including research, learner precepting and mentorship, critical appraisal of therapeutic and practice literature, and development of knowledge translation resources.
