Permanent Part-time Pharmacist position available in the beautiful Bow Valley! Work and live in the mountain town community of Canmore, Alberta. Practice to the full extent of an expanded scope of practice of a Pharmacist in the context of locally operated independent pharmacy practice.

About us

Kroll paperless with Real-Time Integration (RTI) Pharmacy Assistants on site Opportunity to practice the full scope of practice of a pharmacist Open Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm, Closed Sundays and Statutory holidays.

Responsibilities

Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols and following all federal/provincial regulatory requirements. Provide patient counselling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Conduct Medication Reviews and Care Plans Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans. Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication regimens as necessary. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient records. Maintain an accurate inventory, oversight of stock levels, and ensure that appropriate documentation for controlled substances is properly maintained. Educate support staff on best practices in Pharmacy. Optimize pharmacotherapy Ensure all patients feel welcome and cared for. Commitment to excellent customer service. bout you

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or BSc Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution. New grads welcome to apply! Must be licensed and in good standing with ACP to practice as a Pharmacist in Alberta or be in the process of achieving licensure. Excellent communication skills with a focused interest in patient care and patient education. An independent thinker who can adapt to a changing environment Excellent problem-solving skills Shows strong leadership skills and can plan and delegate assignments to support staff A Team Player - shows a willingness to help out the whole team Experience with the Kroll pharmacy software Available to work Friday, Saturday, and occasionally Monday shifts. Opportunity for more hours to cover holiday periods. Available to start the position as soon as possible or by the end of November, but by January at the latest. Injection certification is required, APA is preferred, and is an asset. Additional certifications are welcome. Candidates with experience as a clinical pharmacist and who are actively licensed with ACP will be prioritized
