This role is full-time and reports to the Store Manager and the Pharmacy Manager. We develop strong relationships with our patients and also the healthcare team in Squamish. We provide blister pack services, travel consults, immunization services, medication reviews, all as part of our pharmaceutical care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide superior service to customers
Checking prescriptions for accuracy
Counseling on prescription medications, OTC products and health management topics
Gather prescription information according to the Pharmacy Standards of Practice
Maintain an organized and clean dispensary
Enter and maintain appropriate prescription data
Handle incoming and outgoing faxes according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice
Accurately file completed prescriptions in a timely, organized manner
Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
Adhere to safety policy and regulations.
Perform other duties and tasks assigned as consistent with the nature and scope of the position
Skills and Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing and adherence to the Standards of Practice with the College of Pharmacist of British Columbia
Superior interpersonal, communication, organizational, & conflict resolution skills
Solid proficiency with computers and pharmacy software, experience with Kroll preferred
Demonstrated ability to provide 100% customer service
Ability to work well with both health care professionals and the general public
Ability to multitask and triage to provide optimal and efficient pharmaceutical care
Minimum one-year pharmacy experience preferred
Effective written and verbal communication skills
