We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. The Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal medication administration and patient education.
Duties
Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications.
Prepare and dispense medications, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Monitor patient medication therapies, providing consultations on drug interactions, side effects, and proper usage.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized medication plans for patients, particularly in pediatrics and acute care settings.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
Educate patients and their families about medications, including proper administration techniques and potential side effects.
Stay updated on medical terminology, drug therapies, and advancements in pharmaceutical care.
Requirements
Bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
Active pharmacist license in Alberta.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in medication administration.
Working schedule
Tuesday: 9:00am till 6:00pm
