Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, exceptional grooming skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look their best while creating a positive experience for their owners. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments of animals.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of all breeds. Assess each pet's grooming needs and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding services provided. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with pet owners and addressing their concerns or questions. Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Manage scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records of services provided. Assist in heavy lifting when necessary, particularly with larger breeds or during the bathing process.

Experience

Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling pets or equipment. Knowledge of various dog breeds and grooming techniques is a plus. A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their well-being is crucial for success in this role.
