Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and customer service. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires excellent animal handling skills and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.

Note: Commission starts at 55%.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Ensure the health and safety of pets during grooming sessions by using appropriate techniques for animal restraint. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for both pets and staff. Handle animals with care, demonstrating knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques. Collaborate with team members to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Requirements

2+ years of proven experience in pet grooming is essential. Dog and Cat grooming would be preferable. Strong skills in animal handling, including knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming needs. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the groomer and the pet during grooming sessions. Experience in customer service to effectively communicate with pet owners about their expectations and concerns. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Previous experience in kennel operations or as a pet sitter is a plus.
