Responsibilities
Develop and implement structured
gymnastics-inspired conditioning programs
for adults and
hockey-specific dryland training programs
for athletes.
Conduct small-group classes that challenge, motivate, and foster community among participants.
Instruct proper movement mechanics, bodyweight progressions, and sport-specific exercises with emphasis on
safety and effectiveness
.
Monitor individual progress, providing modifications and progression strategies as needed.
Educate clients on training principles, recovery strategies, and lifestyle habits that support athletic development and long-term health.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment with all equipment properly set up and cared for.
Promote upcoming programs, camps, and services to current and prospective clients.
Collaborate with coaches and staff to continuously improve class offerings and client experience.
Skills
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics with application to
calisthenics and sport performance training
.
Experience designing programs for a range of fitness levels, from recreational adults to competitive athletes.
Background in
gymnastics, calisthenics, strength & conditioning, or hockey dryland training
highly desirable.
Confident group instruction skills, with the ability to motivate and adapt for diverse participants.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire, educate, and engage clients.
Understanding of fitness sales and client retention strategies to help grow participation.
Ability to teach fundamental
athletic movement patterns and body awareness
while promoting overall wellness.
