Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those you care for, ensuring their comfort and well-being through personalized support.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with disabilities. Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Maintain a clean and safe living space for clients through regular cleaning and organization tasks. Support individuals with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to appropriate personnel. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive and physical health, particularly for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care is preferred. Familiarity with injury rehabilitation preferred. Strong understanding of caregiving techniques and patient care protocols. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for success in this role. Certification in first aid or CPR is beneficial but not mandatory; training may be provided.
