We are currently looking for a Personal Support assistant/caregiver to assist me with my daily Living . I am a 34yr old gentleman who has cerebral palsy, and I use a power wheelchair. Therefore, this position requires someone who has the strength, flexibility, and able to lift and transfer me. I also live in the St Norbert Area.. Daily activates include driving me to appointments, university, social outings etc. A valid class 5 drivers license is required for this evening position.
Training will be provided for each candidate. We are hiring for the following.
Day time caregiver starting at 8 am -4pm for Saturday and Sunday
Evening/night shift is from 4pm overnight to 8 am. You will be paid per hr with a flat rate through the night as you will sleep here. Private separate bedroom provided. We are looking for the right caregiver/caregivers to fill the following positions Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday as 1 position and we are flexible on these shifts.
Part-time positions also available for the evening on a casual basis as well.
Qualifications

Male Personal Support Worker preferred
You must be legally allowed to work in Canada
Valid Class 5 driver's License is required .
You must be able to provide satisfactory criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and these should be no longer than 3 months old.
You must have strong verbal and written communication skills and a willing desire to work.
You must be strong and flexible enough with adjusting me in my wheelchair, in bed, and transferring met to and from various positions.
Assistance required with university classes to drive me to and from class and sit with me in class with my tutor.
You must be comfortable assisting with all types of personal hygiene care, including dressing, feeding, meal planning/cooking and daily light house keeping skills.
