We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those requiring additional support in their daily lives. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support.
Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
Providing caregiving services to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring clients for any changes in health status.
Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
Supporting clients with dementia care and other cognitive impairments through engaging activities.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients in home care or assisted living settings.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Experience in caregiving or support work, particularly with individuals with disabilities or senior care.
Medication Reminders and patient care protocols.
Familiarity with meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs.
Understanding of dementia & Alzheimer care practices and techniques for engaging clients effectively.
A Criminal and Vulnerable background is Required
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
A compassionate nature and a commitment to providing high-quality support in home care or assisted living environments.
