Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance, including seniors and persons with disabilities. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care and support in various settings, including home care and assisted living facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Medication reminders as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with dementia care, utilizing effective communication techniques to enhance understanding.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Experience

• Previous experience in home care, senior care, or assisted living environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is highly desirable.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is a plus.
• Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $19.40-$20.40 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
