Responsibilities: Personal Support Workers play a vital role in our health care system where they work closely with our clients providing personal care. Duties include:
All COVID measures are taken in all associated Retirement Homes and Long Term Care Homes. Staff and residents to follow all current recommended COVID guidelines. Ability to commute/relocate:
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living in personal residences or facilities
- Perform assigned tasks according to the Care Plan
- Work as a team with fellow Nurses and PSWs at facilities
- Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited program in Ontario; also open to current RPN Student who with a minimum successful completion of year one of the program
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the job
- Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR
- Updated immunization record including TB Test (last 6 months)
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills (Additional language skills considered an asset)
- Valid Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 12 months)
- Provide other documents as required
- Meet COVID-19 Vaccinations as required
- OPSWA Membership is a great asset
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekend availability
