Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team and provide compassionate care to individuals in our Sarnia-Lambton community. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, socialization. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility and transfers. Maintain a clean and safe living space for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel. Support clients with dementia care, hospice care, or other specialized needs as required. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and physical health.

Qualifications

Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent experience Previous experience in caregiving, nursing home settings, home care, or senior care is required. Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and hospice care principles. Valid driver's license, insurance and a reliable vehicle
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 30 per week
