Job Summary

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support. Your compassionate nature and dedication will empower you to assist clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You'll be the heart of our caregiving team, providing essential services that promote independence and dignity while fostering meaningful connections with those you care for.

What you'll do

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall well-being. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' health status while adhering to care plans. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with safety protocols, including HIPAA regulations. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Support individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism or Alzheimer's disease, through tailored care strategies. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and heavy lifting when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.

Requirements

Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, senior care, or long-term care. Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques to ensure client safety. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Experience working in group homes or nursing homes is preferred. Understanding of dementia care principles and memory care strategies is a plus. Compassionate attitude towards working with people with disabilities and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Work Location: On the road
