Job Description

Help us bring compassion, care, and engagement to individuals living with dementia as a valued member of our Client Support Team.

ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS:



Must be available on

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other weekend

. Other shifts will be assigned based on availability and client needs.

Special preference will be given to candidates able to cover

Amherstburg, Belle River, Leamington, and LaSalle.



Must be a Registered Personal Support Worker (PSW), Social Services Worker (SSW), Developmental Services Worker (DSW), or have similar experience and education, specifically in working with persons with dementia.

Must have access to their own reliable transportation as there is no public transit, and travel between client homes is required. Mileage is reimbursed.

Expected Hours:

20-35 hours per week

Scheduling Requirements:
Candidates must be available to work on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other weekend. Other shifts will be assigned based on candidate availability and client needs.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be a Registered Personal Support Worker (PSW), Social Services Worker (SSW), Developmental Services Worker (DSW), or have similar experience and education, specifically in working with persons with dementia.

Pay:

$19.06 to start, with an additional $3.00 per hour when working directly with clients (for a total of $22.06 per hour). Wage increases at 750 hours and 1950 hours.

Position Overview


As a Client Support Staff member, you will be supporting individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in both our Adult Day Program and In-Home Respite Program. Your primary goal will be to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that enhances their daily lives. This includes providing personal care, facilitating social activities, and supporting emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:



Compassionate Care:

Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting), meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

Engagement:

Help clients participate in social activities and hobbies, promoting their emotional and cognitive well-being.

Support Individual Goals:

Ensure that clients' specific needs and goals are met by following their personalized care plans.

Health and Safety:

Monitor and ensure the safety, health, and independence of each client.

Documentation:

Keep accurate daily care records, including incident reports and medication administration when required.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with a team of caregivers to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
