Ensure safety of 60+ residents
Administer medications to residents with no errors in a timely manner
Adhere to all resident Care Plans, as well as update and maintain all resident files
Facilitate residents' move in & transfers by communicating with families, doctors, nurses, and other members of the Healthcare team
Can work in a fast-paced environment, as well as work under pressure
Observe and report resident concerns or change in condition to disciplinary team
Assist residents with personal care
Escalate medical emergencies to supervisor or emergency medical services (911)
Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring and adaptive aids if needed
Demonstrate understanding of resident needs and maximize abilities
Provide cognitive, social, emotional and psychological support to the residents
Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures of the workplace
Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment
Ensure all required education is completed and kept up-to-date as per RHRA standards
Experience working with seniors in the community health services setting is an asset
Strong written and oral communication skills
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening required
2 step TB test within the last 1 year required
Nursing students highly encouraged to apply to gain valuable experience in the Health Care setting
