Overview

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) with InstaWell, you will be an essential part of our home and community care team. Your role is to provide compassionate, reliable, and high-quality support that promotes independence, dignity, and comfort for clients in their homes or community settings.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, peri-care, skin, hair, and oral hygiene) Support daily living activities such as meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, and hydration Provide mobility support, safe transfers, and heavy lifting where required Perform light housekeeping tasks and laundry to maintain a clean, safe environment Administer medication reminders as per care plan Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in meaningful activities Follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs (including dementia and disability care) Monitor and document changes in client health or behavior and report concerns to the care coordinator or supervising nurse Uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Valid

Personal Support Worker Certificate

Current

CPR and First Aid Certification

Clear

Vulnerable Sector Check (Police Background Check)

Reliable, compassionate, and flexible in providing client-centered care Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred) Experience in home care, assisted living, long-term care, or hospital settings is an asset Knowledge of dementia care, palliative care, or disability support is an asset Ability to perform physical tasks (mobility support, transfers, lifting) safely
