Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides compassionate, client-centered care to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. The PSW supports clients in maintaining dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life in accordance with individual care plans, organizational policies, and applicable standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care & Daily Living

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Support safe transfers and repositioning using proper techniques and equipment Assist with feeding and meal preparation as required
Health & Safety Support

Observe, document, and report changes in client condition or behavior Support medication reminders (as permitted by scope of practice) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Follow infection control, health, and safety protocols at all times
Emotional & Social Support

Provide companionship and emotional support Encourage independence, choice, and participation in activities Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and care team members
Documentation & Communication

Accurately complete required documentation and reports Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members Respect cli ent confidentiality and privacy
Qualifications & Requirements

Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (required) Current CPR/First Aid certification Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor Vulnerable Sector Check / Police Clearance (required or upon hire)
Working Conditions

May include shift work, weekends, holidays, and evenings Work may take place in clients' homes or care facilities Physically demanding role requiring safe body mechanics

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
