Our office is located in Winnipeg, MB. We are looking for a competent

Personal Support Worker

to care for our client/s in a professional and compassionate manner. It is often a demanding job, but it can also be very satisfying and rewarding, since people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are thankful for high-quality assistance.

The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help the client/s.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide care and companionship for the client/s Accompany client/s to grocery, medical, or physical therapy appointments Administer bedside and personal care to client/s such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding client/s May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.

Experience:

1 year experience is an asset. Health care education is an asset.

Requirements (no older than three (3) months):

Valid Driver's License and Vehicle*

Must be physically capable of assisting clients with mobility (including lifting, transferring, or repositioning up to 200 lbs)*
Criminal Record Check Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks Standard CPR-C and First Aid Training Certificate

CPI Non Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate

Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform hands-on care for extended periods Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate attitude Valid PSW certification (if required in your region) Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $15.80 per hour
