We are looking for a Permanent Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team. Personal Support Workers must be able to commit to working a mix of all three shifts (days, evenings, nights). Position Summary The Personal Support Worker\xe2\x80\x99s duty is to provide support services to clients living in the buildings operated by the Sudbury Finnish Rest Home Society Inc. This position works with members of the health care team and the supportive housing team to meet the needs of the clients to help them attain an optimal level of independence and well-being. Some Key Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Observe the client\xe2\x80\x99s situation to determine any need for change in level of personal support or for professional assessment; \xc2\xb7 Contribute to the personal support care plan \xc2\xb7 Bathing \xc2\xb7 Toileting \xc2\xb7 Mouth care \xc2\xb7 Skin care \xc2\xb7 Medication assistance \xc2\xb7 Safety checks \xc2\xb7 Physiotherapy assistance \xc2\xb7 Escorting clients to appointments \xc2\xb7 Escorting clients to on-site programs \xc2\xb7 Tray deliveries/meal preparation \xc2\xb7 Laundry \xc2\xb7 Light housekeeping \xc2\xb7 Assist with activities of daily living \xc2\xb7 Assist in planning and carrying out activity programs to provide social activation among the individuals either on a one-to-one basis or as a group \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Personal Support Worker Certificate \xc2\xb7 An acceptable Police Vulnerable Sector Check verified within the past six months \xc2\xb7 2-step TB test within the past six months \xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccinations Physical Demands \xc2\xb7 Walking, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting \xc2\xb7 Supporting the weight of an adult client If you would like to join a well-respected organization that has built a tradition of developing mutually rewarding relationships with our residents, employees, and the community we serve, please submit your resume.
