Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Duties



Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA compliance standards Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia through specialized techniques Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain clean and safe living environments by performing regular cleaning duties in residents' rooms and common areas Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Document patient observations, care activities, and updates accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when required, ensuring resident safety at all times Support hospice or palliative care needs with sensitivity and respect for residents' comfort and dignity Follow all safety protocols including heavy lifting techniques, infection control procedures, and HIPAA regulations

Experience


Candidates should bring prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's is highly valued. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, care planning, and social work principles enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA training, and experience with Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids are preferred. A background in long-term care or home health services demonstrates your commitment to providing compassionate support across diverse settings. Prior experience working with seniors or people with disabilities will enable you to deliver the highest standard of personalized care while fostering trust and independence among residents. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
