Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and enhancing their quality of life.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events Assist individuals with disabilities in daily tasks and mobility Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the healthcare team Support clients with dementia care by using appropriate communication techniques Participate in case management meetings to discuss client needs and care plans

Skills

Experience in nursing homes, senior care, or assisted living settings Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices Familiarity with medication administration protocols Ability to provide hospice care when necessary Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and empathy Capability for heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility issues Proficiency in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs Understanding of working with people with disabilities and their unique challenges Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Pay: $17.75-$29.48 per hour
