Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by assisting with daily activities and promoting independence.

Duties

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring proper documentation. Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met. Supporting clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed. Engaging clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Performing light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Assisting with case management tasks, including documentation of care provided. Offering companionship and emotional support to clients and their families. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Experience

Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

Previous experience in nursing homes or senior care settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities and dementia care is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in patient care is beneficial. Prior experience in home care or hospice care settings is an advantage. Strong caregiving skills, including the ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively. A commitment to providing high-quality support while respecting client dignity and privacy. Pay: $17.75-$29.48 per hour
