We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Support individuals with dementia and other cognitive impairments by engaging them in meaningful activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Foster positive relationships with clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
Requirements
Previous experience in senior care, home care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Certification in medication administration is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
