Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Support individuals with disabilities in daily activities and encourage participation in social interactions. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space. Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure client safety. Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and physical well-being. Document daily care activities and report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or hospice care is preferred. Background in senior care or working with people with disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus. Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on patient care and empathy. Ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively while maintaining a hygienic environment. Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting when required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
