Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with clients who may require support due to various health conditions, including dementia and hospice care. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those you support, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Help with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed. Administer basic care for individuals with dementia or those in hospice care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

Previous experience and reference in caregiving or related fields such as assisted living or home care is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care and hospice care practices is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. A caring attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support. Certification or training in nursing or relevant caregiving fields is an asset. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.50 per hour
