Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to assist individuals in need, providing essential support in various settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, and in-home care. This role involves working closely with clients, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia, to enhance their quality of life through personalized care and support.

Responsibilities



Provide direct support to clients in daily activities and personal care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with meal preparation and cooking for clients, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences. Maintain a clean and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all client needs are met effectively. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with any medical equipment necessary for patient care. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the mental well-being of clients. Document patient observations and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare staff.

Qualifications



Experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required (e.g., using a Hoyer lift). Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care to seniors or individuals requiring assistance. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments including nursing homes, hospice care, or memory care facilities. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
