Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) with Korean language proficiency to support a client who communicates primarily in Korean. In this role, you will provide palliative care support in hospital and home care settings. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, ensuring client comfort and safety, and fostering a supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to client, including bathing, dressing, and grooming Support meal preparation and assist client during mealtimes Medication reminder and monitor health conditions Assist with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary Maintain cleanliness in living areas and ensure a safe environment Engage client in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to nursing staff Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans

Qualifications

Korean speaking PSW required. Previous experience working in hospital and community preferred Previous experience in palliative care, dementia and elderly care required Knowledge of patient care practices and caregiving techniques Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by client's needs Certification in CPR/First Aid is and valid vulnerable check mandatory
