I am a male quadriplegic seeking assistance for WEDNESDAY MORNING SHIFTS

every week. This shift involves personal care - showering, dressing, grooming, bowel/bladder care, etc. These shifts alternate every other week between 2.75-hour shifts and 3.75-hour shifts.

LOCATION: Frontier Drive (Doon area) -- just off the 401 near Conestoga College. Please apply ONLY if you have your driver's license as described above and a vehicle to drive here. While I appreciate all interest in the position, please DO NOT apply if you would need to walk, bicycle, or take the bus to my home.

WHAT DO I VALUE THE MOST IN AN EMPLOYEE? Reliability, reliability, reliability...and good communication. I MUST be able to count on you showing up for your shifts. If you are the type of person to call in sick often, please understand that same-day call-ins don't work for me. While I do have a couple other people that also do regular shifts for me, this is also a part-time job for them, and they are likely not available on short notice. So I need to count on you showing up for your shifts, even if you might not be feeling the greatest on a particular day. Days off/vacation requests can always be easily accommodated with advance notice.

POTENTIAL TRAVEL PERKS: I'm an avid traveler, and I'm always looking for good people to assist with my care while traveling. I hate cold weather, so travels typically involve warm weather destinations, and sometimes baseball. All-expenses-paid. Assistance with traveling is NOT a requirement of working for me, nor is it a guarantee if you are interested and have the availability to travel, but it is a definite possibility as I do like to travel 2 or 3 times for short periods.
