Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.
The opportunity
We are currently looking to fill a
Permanent Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW)
role in our
Hamilton/Burlington Low Needs Outreach Program
, serving Hamilton, Burlington, and surrounding areas.
Wage:
$18.88/hr (plus $3.00/hr temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients)
Valid G license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance are required
Responsibilities
Assist clients in their homes with non-medical daily living activities, including:
Personal care
Lifts and transfers
Rising and retiring routines
Bowel and bladder care
Meal preparation and feeding
Range of motion exercises
Light housekeeping
Provide respectful, dignified care while maintaining privacy and safety
Work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications and experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
Experience with individuals with physical disabilities or seniors
Knowledge of Independent Living or Consumer-Based Care models
Skilled in lifting, transferring, bowel/bladder care, and other PSW duties
Completion of
Physical Demands Self-Analysis

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible availability
Must have a valid G class license, reliable vehicle, and valid insurance in your own name
