As a PSW, you'll work closely with a local primary care team to provide hands-on, person-centered care that helps people stay healthy and independent in their own homes. What you will need to be successful
Your Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent:
+ Valid Certificate as Home Support Worker, I, II or III, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker; Or
+ Students currently enrolled (post first year) in health care programs such as Nursing (RN or RPN), Rehab, Para Medicine; Or
+ A valid certificate as an RN, RPN, Practical Nurse, Midwife, or Physician (domestic or internationally trained) Current and valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) Certification
A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 12 months
Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months and an up-to-date immunization record
Ability to travel from home to home within the community-
a valid driver's license, vehicle and car insurance is required for this role

Travel required within East Wellington rural communities such as Rockwood, Mapleton, Drayton & Mount Forest
Commitment to work every other weekend
Strong verbal and written English communication skills required; the ability to communicate in French or other languages is considered an asset
Reliability and strong organization skills
Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg)
