Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

The opportunity



We are currently looking to fill

1 Part-Time position - Personal Care Attendant roles known internally as Support Service Attendant

in our

Assisted Living Program

in Sudbury, ON.

Flexible schedule:

Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Starting wage:

$18.68 - $19.52 per hour.

Additional compensation:

This position is eligible for a $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients

Milage:

PaidMilage and Paid Travel Time

Responsibilities



Assist consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures: Personal care Lifts and Transfers Rising/retiring Bowel and bladder procedures Meal preparation and feeding Range of motion exercises Other light housekeeping duties Perform duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains consumer and staff health and safety.

Qualifications and experience



Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

PSW Certificate (preferred) and experience working with working with Older Adults, experience/knowledge/understanding of Independent Living or Client directed care Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, experience/knowledge/understanding of Independent Living or Client based care Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of and abilities in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines and other attendant care
