The Multi-Service Centre (MSC) is a non-profit organization serving the tri-counties area of Oxford, Elgin and Norfolk and focusing on delivering essential services to our community. Staff and management provide high quality, client driven care programs including Adult Literacy & Essential Skills, Employment Programs and Home Support servicesWho we are looking for:

As a PSW/DSW you will be part of a diverse and forward-thinking team who provides exceptional services to the tri-counties area of Oxford, Elgin, and Norfolk!What we offer: Positive, purpose- driven work culture Engaged and supportive management team Health and wellness benefits; benefits package (25+ hours/week) Full time/ Part time schedules with a supportive and flexible work environment Competitive compensation - $20.47/hour, plus Ontario government's $3.00/hour wage enhancement for Personal Support workers or other individuals providing Personal Support Services Travel/mileage compensation Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Provided with a company-issued cell phone with full access to schedules and communication Access to supervisory support 24 hours a day, 7 days a weekAs a PSW/DSW at the MSC you will be responsible for: The provision of a variety of direct support care services to individuals in the community Performing Personal Care Tasks (including assistance with bathing, hygiene, grooming, dressing, foot care, transfers & mobility) Performing Household Management Tasks (e.g. light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning & preparation, errands) Providing socialization visits and care giver relief Promoting Wellness (e.g. encourage client independence and involvement in the care plan) Respecting and protecting the rights of clients, including but not limited to their right to independence, autonomy, and self-determination; their right to choose and practice individual values, beliefs, religion, and culture; their right to privacy and dignity; and their right to live free from retaliation, discrimination and abuse.What you bring: A certificate from an approved Personal Support Worker or Developmental Services Worker program from a school registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities A valid Ontario Drivers License and reliable transportation required Previous experience working in a home care setting would be an asset A valid First Aid/CPR training certification A strong work ethic with a focus on client confidentiality and exceptional carePlease Note: The information in this job posting has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
