The role requires adequate qualifications to work in a Personal Support Worker capacity and may include but is not limited to the following responsibilities -

Working with clients in a variety of settings including personal dwellings, apartments, retirement homes, LTC, etc. Provide respite care to caregivers Activities of Daily Living which includes bathing, shower, toileting dressing, etc. Transferring Assistance using a variety of methods Assist with Mobility using safe techniques and aids Incontinence care Medication reminder Light meal preparation Light housekeeping Emotional support Assist with exercising Companionship/Social Support Errand/Transportation assistance
Position Requirements:

Part-time:

available for 15-25 hours per week able to work every other weekend and holidays days and afternoons available
Casual:

flexible scheduling according to your needs no minimum required all shifts available
All Positions:

must have own vehicle and be able to travel outside of Brantford to surrounding areas (ex. Paris, St. George, Mt. Pleasant, Scotland, etc.) able to work in a variety of environments including some with risks such as animals, smoking, etc. physically capable of lifting up to 40lbs. and completing prescribed transfer methods

Must have a valid drivers license and own transportation as you are required to travel outside Brantford.

Clear Vulnerable Sector Police check required. Up-to-date vaccinations including measles required. CPR/First Aid preferred but not required.
