SUMMARY OF ROLE



Looking for Russian/English speaking PSW.



York Region Respite Care provides a great service to clients and their families, we are responsible for working with clients that are vulnerable in diverse ways and my differ from client to client.

Our team provides a professional and dependable service that we take great pride in, We Support clients in, In-Home Care, Group homes, retirement homes and Long-term Care facilities.

Main Responsibilities, Tasks & Duties



Assisting with actives of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping and life skills. Provide premium care approach to clients and their families. Light household duties such as cleaning, laundry and washing dishes. Mobility and transfers. Reports and charting in clients behaviour and conditions. Follow the Care planes provided. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requires good judgement, problem solving and assessment abilities. Demonstrates the ability to recognize safety issues and follow safe work practice.

Qualifications:



PSW, SSW, DSW certificate from approved and recognized education institution. Ability to travel between assignments by car. Ability to read and speak English. Flexible to work days, evenings and weekends. Current CPR and First Aid certificate. Vulnerable Sector Check done within the last 6 months.
